By accessing or using DraftCut ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

DraftCut is a cloud-hosted, transcript-based podcast editing application. The Service allows you to upload audio files, generate transcripts, and edit your podcast by editing the transcript text. DraftCut is designed around a non-destructive editing model: your original audio files are never modified. All edits produce derived playback and export state only.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

New accounts receive 30 free minutes of audio transcription. Additional usage is billed on a usage basis. Billing is managed within the product application. DraftCut reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable advance notice.

You retain full ownership of all audio files, transcripts, and other content you upload to the Service ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant DraftCut a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. DraftCut does not claim ownership of your User Content.

You agree not to use the Service to upload or process content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes the rights of third parties. You agree not to abuse or attempt to overload the transcription infrastructure. You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.

The DraftCut application, user interface, brand, trademarks, and underlying software are owned by DraftCut and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your User Content remains your property.

DraftCut is built on a non-destructive editing model. Your original audio files are stored unmodified. Edits you make within the application produce derived playback and export state only and do not alter your source files.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DraftCut's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim or $10 USD.

Either you or DraftCut may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your User Content will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Termination does not relieve you of any payment obligations incurred before the termination date.

DraftCut may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction — to be completed by legal counsel]. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of [Jurisdiction].
